This is my mom and dad. They are both in their 50's now, but had me when they were only 20 years old. They both grew up in Buffalo, but now live in Alden, New York. They moved there when I was 4. They own their own home in the village. My dad worked hard at a job as a machinist. He drove an hour every day from Alden to North Tonawanda to go to work. He hated his job, but worked it because it made enough money to support our family. He is retired now, enjoying his time at home. My mom was always a "stay at home mom". She did everything that a good mother does. All the household chores, all of the cooking, and all of the child care duties were here life. She loved her job as a homemaker. Now that all of her children are grown and have moved out, she works part time as a secretary, just for something to do.
I am lucky enough to have three beautiful sisters, which are all younger than me. The first one in this picture is Angela. She went to Brockport University and had a degree in psychology. She is married to Jason, who is pursuing his masters degree to become a college professor. The next girl in the picture is my sister Jamie. She is the Town of Alden Librarian. She is so incredibly smart! Everything I need to know in life but don't know where to find the information, she has the answers ready at any time. She has a husband named Jim, who was actually my future husband Rob's best childhood buddy. They have two sons named Jimmy and Cole. They are so fun to hang out with. My sister Sarah is the youngest child in the family. She just got her own apartment and works as a paralegal in Tonawanda. She is 24 years old and is single.
This is my brother Nick. He is 5 years younger than me. He lives in Albany, New York, so unfortunately I don't get to see him that much. He just bought and opened up his own Pizza Shop named "The Pie Hole". I hope he is happy, and ends up being very successful. He has a wife named Stephanie who is really nice. They just got married last year.
This is my other brother named Gordy. He is the jokester of my family. When we were growing up he drove me absolutely crazy, but now I value his sense of humor. He is an assistant manager at Tops.
He is also a camp counselor in the summer for kids with juvenile diabetes. He does this because he's been a diabetic since he was only 7 years old. He now enjoys teaching other kids how to cope with the disease.
Out of all of my brothers and sisters, Gordy and I are probably the most similar in character.
